[Software Description] This software will update the TS-X series TeraStations’ firmware to version 1.73. If your unit’s firmware is already version 1.73 or later, you don’t need this update. [How to Verify the Firmware Version] Select your TeraStation from NAS Navigator2. The firmware version is displayed on the bottom right corner of the window. [Updating Firmware] • Please consult technical support or your local customer service representative if the firmware update causes unexpected problems. • Do not turn off the TeraStation until the firmware update is completed and the “Finished” message is displayed. • Updating from firmware version 1.10 or earlier may wipe the time zone settings. In such a case, reconfigure the time zone so there wll not leave a gap of time. • After updating the firmware to the latest version, NAS Navigator2 may display an “Unknown error occurred” message. In such a case, make sure NAS Navigator2 has been updated to the latest version. The update software is available from the d.buffalo website. • Make sure the TeraStation’s Ethernet frame size is set to a value smaller than that of the hub or router. Larger frame sizes may not allow data to be transferred to the TeraStation properly. [How to Update the Firmware] 1. Extract the downloaded installer file. 2. Execute “update”, then refer to the on-screen instructions.
