[Software Description]
This software will update the WS5020N6 series TeraStations’ firmware to version 3.62. If your unit’s firmware is already version 3.62 or later, you don’t need this update.

[How to Verify the Firmware Version]
Select your TeraStation from NAS Navigator2. The firmware version is displayed on the bottom right corner of the window.

[Notes]
• Make sure that the same language is configured for “Display language”, “Welcome screen and system accounts”, and system locale. Configuring different languages for these settings may cause unexpected behaviors.
• If Python is installed on your TeraStation, updating the firmware may fail. in such a case, uninstall Python and try again.
• If no prompt appears after running the updater (ws-series-firmware.exe), right-click the updater and click ‘Properties’. On the “General” tab of the Properties page, select the “Unblock” checkbox to the right of “Security”, then try running the updater again.

[How to Update the Firmware]
1. Download and save the installer file to a shared folder on the TeraStation.
2. Connect to the TeraStation through the remote desktop.
3. Extract the downloaded file and run “ws-series-firmware.exe”.
4. Click ‘OK’ in the dialog window to continue the updating process.

[Email Notification]
• Modified so that the IPv6 address is always displayed in notification emails when it was previously an optional setting.
• Modified so that the report categories and the email send times are now both configurable. The current settings will be taken over by the firmware update but we recommend verifying that the function works properly after the firmware update.
• S.M.A.R.T information can now be sent via notification emails.
